The story starts in the 1980s, when bricklayer Benny Andersen set out to build a better mixer for his own work.
Existing machines didn’t meet the demands of indoor masonry, so he started from scratch. After years of testing and refinement, he introduced a groundbreaking 40L forced mixer — compact enough for one person to carry up to the 4th floor, and powerful enough to run on a standard 230V supply.
At the heart of the innovation were the patented mixing arms, designed to deliver a consistently perfect mix while being easy to assemble and disassemble without tools. The response from professionals was immediate — the machine quickly gained a reputation for reliability and performance on site.
As demand grew, so did the range. Today, SoRoTo® offers a full lineup of forced mixers from 40L to 300L, including a 65L Light version — all built on the same principles of durability, efficiency, and practical design that started it all.
It ALL Started on a Job Site
A craftsman saw a problem — and built the solution.
In 1983, master bricklayer Benny Andersen faced a challenge many professionals knew all too well: there wasn’t a mixer that truly suited the realities of everyday site work.
Machines were too large, difficult to move, and dependent on 3-phase power, making them impractical for tasks like tiling, flooring, and renovation.
Instead of working around the problem, he set out to solve it — building a mixer designed specifically for the way tradespeople actually work.

It ran on standard 230V power, was light enough to transport easily — even upstairs — and featured a patented mixing system with tool-free assembly.
